Groups creation based on user role

Is there a way to select which user role can create which type of groups?

I would like to:

1. Disable creation of PUBLIC groups for all members
2. Allow creation of PRIVATE groups only for specific user role

Any ideas?

buddypress only recognizes 2 roles by default as far as i’m aware anyway, Admin/superadmin and everyone else. there’s probably a way to make a plugin that would do that if you know about such things.

I managed to separate members listing by role, so I believe it should be possible…

I will also try to make it work as a plugin, but not sure how 🙂
