    HI all,

i have installed buddy/BB press and and am trying to create groups with forums.
When a user creates a new group they go to the Group’s main navigation.

I expected there to be the forum, and admin buttons to edit the group but there is nothing only the name of the group.

i have checked all plugins and these are fine.

can you advise a possible fix?

    Thanks

Hi there, have you enabled group forums in Settings/Forums?

Hi. I have enabled this the group forum appears on the forum page using the forum index short code but when I go to the group main page there is no group admin options or group forum.

I have a screenshot but can’t see a way to upload the image here?
    Thanks

You can use Imgur to provide a link to the image

    I mean I have a screenshot to upload not a URL. ????

It’s basically the group page title.
Below is the group page named and then below is the group name again that is a link that takes you nowhere

So it shows the group name 3 times one being a link to the page it’s currently on.

    No other buttons or links

Imgur allows you to upload images and provide a link to view them.

By the sounds of things you probably have a conflict. Things I would try:

    1. Set BuddyPress theme to BP Legacy
    2. Deactivate all other plugins apart from BuddyPress
    3. Try with a default theme such as 2016.

Amazing. Switching to buddypress legacy made everything show.

    Thanks for your help

That sounds like you may have a JavaScript issue, try seeing if anything is reported in your browsers JavaScript console – right click on page, select inspect element and then select the console.
