    Hi, I would like to add a a page to my buddypress site that functions the same as groups, and call it “business” . could this be done?

    You could write a custom BP component call ‘Business’ that functions the same as ‘Groups’.
    You’ll need to be experienced developer to do so.

    The core components extend a class called BP_Component.
    You can extend this class to create your own components.
    In folder bp-groups you can see how the groups component is being created and use it as an example.
