Hacking BP Classes to Search OR Instead of AND

Hello Happy BP Devs,

I have been trying to create a function or hook to filter the activity stream using keywords in OR combination instead of AND. This guy (check out link) did what I want to accomplish but he hacked the core;

Is there a filter I can use to create the same effect?

Hey @vanleurth

You could use the bp_parse_args filter for this. It will allow you to perform a meta query.

Henry,

Are the search terms in an AND operation?
I would like the search terms to be in an OR operation.
Is there a way to do this using bp_parse_args. The function doesn’t mention this
