Have BP 1.2 latest available in wordpress plugin directory to streamline upgrade

Similar to the 1.1.x versions that could easily be upgraded in wordpress, why can’t the same be done with this? There are a handful of posts of users expressing woes with upgrading from the different 1.2 versions… but that could easily be solved if added to the WP plugin directory.

When a 1.2 version is updated, the users’ plugin dashboard will say to upgrade, it upgrades… simple as the earlier versions. Please consider this. Thank you.

I imagine that will be the plan. But since this plugin hasn’t been released yet for public consumption it has to be downloaded or updated via svn.

That IS the plan – the 1.2 version out now are release candidates. They go out here for testing and feedback, and when they are official, THEN they go in the repo.

This way, the bugs get worked out by users who *choose* to upgrade knowing they may find issues. If all these changes were in the repo, you would have had upgrade notices 3 times in the last couple weeks.

I apologize for accidently marking it as support. geoffm33 and Andrea_r are right to point out it’s a beta, and as such, it shouldn’t be on the main download channels as of yet. Thank you.
