[Resolved] Having problems creating groups

We’ve recently installed Buddypress and all of the relevant pages seem to have been created. But even when logged in as admin we’re unable to create new groups. When I click the ‘new groups’ link it just takes me to the front page of our site. How can I fix this?

Hi @kizzinkwocha6,

example.com/groups/create/ leads to the homepage ?
If your group page is correctly setup/exist, you should see an empty group directory page on the front-end.

Is this the case ?
Have you also setup the pretty permalinks ?

Do you use a redirection plugin or any other special setting to do so ? (plugin, htaccess,….)
Do you use something related to SEO ?

If yes, deactivate the plugin(s), and revert back to strictly original wp/bp install, check the permalinks, group page existence and see if group creation is now working.

If not, give your theme name.

Think that fixed it. I disabled all the plugins and re-enabled them one at a time. It looks like one of the SEO plugins was causing a conflict. All fixed now. Thanks !
