Hi Have a live (well kind off) site at http://www.newcastleunitedforum.co.uk – i had some problems setting up the forum with this template from rockethteme (i think the theme has little to do with it but may be wrong). I wanted a normal forum (not groups based) and followed the instructions on the buddypress site to set up. The instructions seemed to work but the link to the forums did not link, just went to the home page.

I tried changing the link etc but nothing seemed to work so i thought i’d see what switching the groups forum on did. and that is how the site is now. Trouble is i think a load of football supporters are going to find it a bit annoying to have to create a group to post something specific, and and its not as intuitive as a normal forum which some will be used to.

If anyone can shed some light onto how i could get just normal forums running it would be greatly appreciated. I have already clicked ‘uninstal groups forums’ (or whatever it said!) but this has not worked.

Delete bb-config.php file that was generated at root of your WP installation as well.
