Hide Username from Profile

    Hi there. I have a membership site that uses Buddypress 2.8.2 for a member directory. I do NOT want the usernames to display on the profile, as I feel this is a security issue. I’ve seen many solutions that involve the .php file for a fix. However, when I did this it crashed my entire site. I will not be editing the PHP again to apply a fix. Is there any other solution you can offer?

    Editing either the templates or customizing the backend functions managing user name display are the only means to achieve this, I’m sorry you’ve had issue with applying php solutions as in the other post but practise makes perfect, or contract a developer to do the work you need for your site.

    P.S No using CSS to hide anything is not the correct way forward! 🙂
