Ho to only have Child Forums showing

    Hello All!

This is my first post to BuddyPress. I am not sure if I have a theme issue or a BuddyPress issue or even a bbPress issue so I apologise if I am in the wrong place.

I would like to have my groups go to their own Forum page and see only child forums under not the parent forum for the group. This is because Children will be using this site and I want them to only have discussions under the Child forums (the topics their Teachers have chosen). If they have the parent forum showing on the “forums” page, they will use that to start topics and be talking about all sorts of things – gulp! My site is at http://www.seendschool.com/forum

When I create a group I give it a forum and then I create child forums under.

I want the main parent forum to be a Category not a Forum.

Please see attached images to help explain.

I choose for the Forum to be a category.

So the Forum page looks like this, without the “Parent Forum Option”.

But when I log out and back in I can’t see the Child forums anymore only that the groups doesn’t have a forum.

Thanks for your help – it is hugely appreciated 🙂
