Home Activity Screen

    Each time I come to the Home Activity Screen, it seems this error comes up:

    Sorry, there was no activity found. Please try a different filter.

    And I have to go and click on “All Members” or change the filter to something else then come back to everything and then everything shows again. If I leave the page, lets say go to a post to view and come back to the Activity Screen, it does the same thing. Now if I go to a group Activity screen it behaves correctly and does not give me that particular error acting as if nothing is there for display. I am using wp 4.0 and bp 2.1 with buddypress default theme. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you.

    You named the culprit: I am using wp 4.0 and bp 2.1 with buddypress default theme.

    bp-default is somehow retired since BP 1.9 and is in for backwards compatibility only.

    Give a try to 2014 theme and see if this solve your issue.

    I think this might be a bug with the new BuddyPress 2.1. I’ve been experiencing the same problem since the update and it seems to occur randomly.

    I’ve tested it across multiple profiles and on different computer and it’s hit or miss. I’m running WordPress 4.0, the default 2014 theme, and BuddyPress 2.1.

    Just wanted to chime in because I’m experience the same issue with the default 2014 theme.

    A few problems with BuddyPress 2.1 also, pagination on activity items had some problems.

    I’ve reverted back until I can afford more time to the latest.

    Any chance you could list the issues you were having in a new thread? 2.1 is very new so documenting any problems you’re having is V helpful to the core team

    Hope this helps narrow it down, the problem seems to be on the public activity. It has yet to happen on the group activity pages-at least for me, anyone else?

    Not sure why, but tested it out several times today and seems to work-if I clear the cache out from wp, using wp super cache, the activity displays as like it should and throughout the time I am logged in.
