Home Page in BuddyPress site has “not found” error

When I click on the Home tab in my BuddyPress site (using the default theme), I get a “Not Found” error. If I try to create a new page called Home, I get two Home tabs, one with the original error and one that is my new page. What is going on? I am only using the following components: Extended Profiles, Account Settings, Private Messaging, & Site Tracking (+ the required ones). What does BuddyPress expect me to have to display something on the home page? The permalink for the page with the “Not Found” error is just the url of my site. ???

In the WP admin Settings > Reading do you have it set to a page or latest blogs? Also try changing permalinks under Setting > Permalinks
