How can we hide some group creation steps?

Hello, i am non-developer and have tried to figure out if i can hide some group creation steps but failed to do what i want to achieve ideally. I have read through create.php in buddypress/groups/create.php but i decided not to delete or modify them.
While going through group creation steps, i thought some of the informations were not really necessary to ask and i hope i could hide them somehow effectively or even remove them so it could look simpler to create a group to front-end users.
I have tried to find the CSS path to hide it and it did hide it but say, if i have hidden group creation step 3 the numbering goes 1, 2, 4, 5 .
Could anyone please help me how to hide, remove group creation steps?
At first sight i might remove some of the steps but they could be controlled later in the group settings page. That would be the perfect situation for me.
