How do buddypress Mark custom notification as read?

Hi,

Friends i am working for adding custom notifications to buddy-press.

I am unable to find whats logic behind marking notification as read when user has clicked the notification link.

Will you guys please let me know which function buddy-press calls when correspondent link for notification is clicked.

Any help will be appreciable.

there is a codex for custom notifications with the latest bp…might help

there is also a bp-notification folder, where you can find all files related to notification. You can read them to check the used logic. Code is widely commented.

If you need quick functions informations, you can also visit this site (link goes to “notification” search result), who present a detailed BP code.

i have checked the bp-notifications folder also have read comments, but i am unable to find the logic behind, marking custom notifications as read.

Mark as read is like archivate the message. So you’ll have received messages in a list and thoose already read and marked are on an archiv list.

can we automatically mark the notifications as read while they are displayed? and/or see read and unread notifications together (like in facebook notifications)?
