How do I add another field on the group creation page.

I want to simply add a location field to my group creation page by all of my efforts to do so have been rendered useless. Has anyone else done this before? Is there a plugin that does this? Any and all help is appreciate. I thank you all for your time

Out of the box, you can’t do this. But there is a plugin for that.

If you need only this field and you will like also a map there’s a nice plugin (for free) from buddydev.com , brajesh – where you can insert in one of the steps of group creation your “location” and output is a map (you will get a tab “MAP” with a static Google Map image ) look here: http://buddydev.com/plugins/bp-simple-google-map/

thank you but i already have that plugin. i want the users to be able to enter this information when they make the group. Any other suggestions

BP should definitely have them in core, just like they do for profile fields.
