I am having problems redirecting users to a custom page or redirect page after a user has logged into my site. BuddyPress was redirecting users to the Profile page. I then disassociated pages on BP and now BP redirects to one of my posts (not sure why redirects to that post in particular).

I tried using BP Login Redirect plugin but made no difference i.e still redirects to a post. I have also tried adding redirect and remove BP redirect filters in my theme’s functions.php but BP seems to always overide and redirect to profile or post page.

I use a redirect url for when the user clicks on login link but again BP overrides and redirects to profile or post page.

My login redirect used to work before I installed BP.

I even tried to disable BP plugin but I get the following error
Fatal error: Call to undefined function bp_core_get_user_displayname() in /home/hbntechn/public_html/nowstreetdance.com/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-core/bp-core-avatars.php on line 843

I have searched online for solutions but to no avail. Any pointers appreciated.
