How do you protect your site from viruses?

I saw one plugin on the wordpress site, but is there anything else? The plugin’s site said: “Ideal as a supplement to the manual security measures in your blogs”, so I’m guessing there are other things that need to be done to protect my site. Any ideas?

    thanks

Er. Your site can’t get infected by viruses. Your server could, but that will require an exploit for remote code execution of some sort.

Is that what you mean? I would recommended that if you aren’t sure, you need to find a host to manage that for you.

the plugin you’re talking about is just of no use at all… people always panic when they read the word virus… so some people try to fool others by releasing “anti-virus” scripts that do nothing and can even provide a leak to security.

if you share files, programs, games etc, i suggest you use a files manager that contain an anti-virus like symantec… other than that would be useless, as the goal of server-side anti-virus is to decompress the files shared, check for viruses and recompress the files and store them securely…

a blog is not a good place for viruses… virus are programs that spread in action, they are not words you read in a text…
