How to allow users to change their email and password?

    Hello,

    I have seen several threads on this topic but all are either outdated or not answered.

    I would like to allow users to change their email address and log in password from within their account. Currently they can reset their passwords if they forgot but there is no way for them to change it in their accounts.

    This should be a core capability in any membership plugin.

    Thanks to anyone that can help.

    This should be available by default on the Settings page of the user profile.

    User can edit the displayed email address, click Save Changes.

    Password change is available on the same page.

    I have had 2 users recently who could not change their emails , so I had to do it as admin.

    When a user go to ‘settings’ and change their email, nothing happens. Is he or she supposed to receive a confirmation email?

    They should get an email sent to the new email address, they click the link in the email to confirm and then the change is done.
