If you log in as admin, then click on their profile, it’ll let you change the avatar as if it was that user 😉
@rudik123
Hi,
i try, but when i go mouse arrow to photo i don’t see “Change photo” information in some people profile. In my profile i can do it. I use administrator profile of course.
Please help 🙂
Log into the front end of your site (as other users would do), find your user/s and click on their profile tab. You will then see three options, view, edit and change avatar.
Click on Change Avatar!
Bobs your uncle!
I logged in admin profile (visibility site as other members), i found some profile, enter to this progile, visited all tabs and i don’t see this option. Hmmm maybe is some bug in my themplate… ??
Can you paste here print screen??
I would like to to do the same. But when I click on upload image it redirects to my profile and will change admins image??
So Admins are not able to modify users avatars anymore. Is this correct?
@giorgosnl Next time, please start a new topic as moderators could miss your post.
But when I click on upload image it redirects to my profile and will change admins image??
When I checked the issue you posted, the avatar was correctly changed in user’s profile but the update did redirect after completion to the Site Admin’s profile page. The issue was also posted at https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/5580 and fix is slated for BP 2.1.
If your issue is not resolved with the patch after changing to one of WP Default themes and deactivating all plugins except BP to exclude conflicts, please feel free to create a new trac ticket using your WP username and password to log in.
@mercime Thanks for pointing this. In my case it is a theme issue as it is already redirecting to the admins profile before crop is done. It is redirecting already when I click on upload.
Patch is solving the redirect after crop is done. I notified the theme author.
as mentioned in ticket 5580:
It’s a great idea, but very annoying if you are an admin editing a different user’s avatar. Instead of getting redirected to their profile after the avatar crop, you get redirected to your own profile every time
