How to change URL of profile edit nav link

I have two profile groups that I’m using for my site. The first (primary) group is empty because I only want users to have to give their email to sign up. The second group has all of the profile information in it so they can fill it out if they choose to.
This all works exactly as intended, and I like it, however when I am logged into my site and go to my profile page and then click on “edit” the URL defaults to group 1, which is empty and therefore doesn’t display anything. If I manually type in group 2 into the URL it works fine.My question: Is there a way to change the default URL of that “edit” link so it goes straight to group 2 instead of 1?
