How to copy data from one field to another at a click of checkbox?

Hi,

In my profile fields, I have the following:

Permanent Address

Permanent Street

Permanent Country

Correspondance Address

Correspondance Street

Correspondance Country

I want to replace the ‘

‘ by a checkbox which, when clicked will copy the data from the top three fields to the corresponding bottom fields. How can I do that?

Either find, or I suspect, you would have to write a plugin. I’m not aware of any plugins released that do this.

Woops. I am thinking few lines of javascript could do the magic. Does this really need a plugin?

Well, you’ve got the *get* the javascript onto the page. Either you hack a core file which will cause you frustration when you have to upgrade WordPress to a future version, or use a plugin to include it.
