How to enable users to block other users from their profile?

  • @ishanna

I would like for users to be able to block an unwelcome user from visiting his or her profile page. Does someone has any idea how this can be done? Or a similar option that gives users the ability to boycot an other user from interacting with him or her?

I’m new to php and css.

    Kind regards,

    Ishanna

There is a premium plugin that supports blocking on a per member basis:
    BuddyBlock

And are you the author of that plugin?

    Thank you for the tip.
    No free solution available?
Maybe some code I can use?

    Kind regards,

If you have made a child theme you could use this tutorial and it limits friends to view your profile.

Other than that then you are limited to the premium plugins listed above. I have tried the plugin I recommended and it works.

Also not trying to sound biased but when you get a membership with BuddyDev you have access to all of the plugins and themes so it is a very good deal.

    Thank you!
The buddyblock plugin seems to cover exactly what I’m looking for.
I only want users to be able to block specific profiles. The ‘friends’ option is disabled so if also givin the option for ‘only friends’ might bring some confusion.
