How to include plugins within a child theme

  • 9087877

I was wondering how the developers feel about this before I move forward. I think its a great idea for providing child themes with the extra functionality you wished was already implemented into buddypress. So why not include plugins? Why try to re-invent the wheel when there is a cool plugin to do just about anything. Firstly, I would never try this in a commercial theme! Second, I think its a cool idea to have a more complete “out of the box” social network, and maybe we can get some new cool child themes in the themes directory. So with that being said, what would be be proper way of implementing plugins into a child theme. Keep in mind I want the plugins included but I still want the the plugins update-able independent of the child theme.
