How to overload nouveau header from plugin

Following this example https://codex.buddypress.org/plugindev/template-overload-from-a-plugin/ I can override/overload my header legacy through my plugin. How I can achieve the same with the nouveau theme?

Have you tried following the same path and just copy the template from new template?

Are you sure it is member-header? Please try cover-image-header.
