How to pull information from a person’s sign up info and display it on their profile page?

Hey all,
I was wondering how I submitted information from a person’s sign up and then display it on their profile just to be visible? I’m pretty sure it involves PHP code and then calling to the database and withdrawing the field of submitted data.
