[How to] Send welcome email with username/login details

    @aferg34

    I have a private buddypress (buddyboss theme) community where I manually added users and I can’t for the life of me figure out how to send all of the users their login detail or instruct them on how to login.

    Is it possible to send them a welcome email?

    I have searched around quite a bit and unable to find a working solution.

    Thanks in advance for your help!

  • Regardless of how you added the users, if you chose to not have emails sent, you need find a WordPress plugin that will do this for you (if any exist — resending emails is a bit niche).

    If you added them through BuddyPress on the front-end, emails should have been sent out. I’d start investigating the mail configuration on your server to check it is correctly set up to deliver email.

    I added them in backend and chose to not have emails sent. It would take a few days to re-add all of the users in order to send their welcome email.

    I have tried all of the re-send welcome email plugins and all of them simply send change password notification which does not contain information on how to log-in.

    I’m under a major time crunch and the community needs to go live today so any solutions would be greatly appreciated.
