How to translate additionnal profile fields

Hello,
I’ve just added three custom profile fields, and these fields appear in english on registration and profile pages. I’d like to keep these fields in english but translate its via po/mo files in french for french users. Is there a way to do that ?
I don’t want to use a weight translation plugin just for 3 fields…
