1) deactivate the plugins
2) removing them
3) remove themes
OPTIONAL:
4) Remove wp_bp_* tables
Say hello to BuddyPress
I followed the steps above:
Deactivate the plugin
Removed the plugin
Removed theme from public_html/wp_content/themes and from public_html/wp_content
I did not remove the tables from the DB.
I can’t access mydomain.com, it’s just blank. I can however access the admin. Please help.
Also, if I wish to re-install BP at a later date will leaving the tables from your step 4 be an issue with a new install?
Thanks
ok, i got the site up and running again. could someone help me out with the last question.

Omgitsrfb – you said your domain was just blank then site up and running. What did you do to get it working again?
I’d also like to know if tables need to be deleted and if that will affect a re-install of BP in the future?
He probably forgot to change the theme away from buddypress after deleting it. Leaving the tables does cause a problem, because then when you reinstall all the settings are still saved.
