How to use the same buddypress tables on more then one site!

    Hello all

Well I tried doing this myself but I managed to completely ruin one of my sites so I thought I better ask you guys about this one.

Basically I am trying to use buddypress on more then 1 site, but buddypress needs to use the same database tables or atleast sync the database tables of the main installation onto the other database tables of my other websites as I am currently running 4 different sites 2 of which have completely different domains I can’t really enable wordpress multisite and do it that way.

Basically I want to have the same profile fields on all of my sites and have the notifications, messages and etc

Wordpress Version: 3.8 (On all sites)
BuddyPress version: 1.9.1 (On all sites)

So if anyone can help it would be appreciated.
    Thanks, Liam

You can actually map multiple domains to one wordpress mu site with https://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-mu-domain-mapping/ … not sure if that helps…

Right I got two test sites up and running and it seems to work, the only thing is, is that my real sites will take a good few days for me to be able to get everything up and running on a wordpress MU network and for me to completely get this sorted in this way.

I am wondering if there is any quicker ways then this?

If not then I am going to have to re-install my sites and get everything back up and running, which will be an pain.

    Cheers, Liam

You should be able to convert your existing WordPress site to Multisite. Here’s the page from the WP codex: https://codex.wordpress.org/Create_A_Network

Right I manage to get the domain mapping working on my local server, but I can’t seem to get it working on my live site at all, not 100% sure what I am doing wrong, Here an image of my settings and etc..

    Thanks in advanced.
