I checked and got “PHP GD library is installed on your web server”. So PHP GD is installed on the server.
1. is PHP GD activated? being installed is not the same as activated.
2. are u using a cloud protection? ur IP might have been flagged as spam so it will not work well with ur site if you are using suspicious IP. This also happens if you are using Tor browser or something similar.
I am using a WP optimised hosting, how do I know if it’s enabled or not?
@knight287 there are a couple of plugins you can use them to get your server info like https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-serverinfo/ It will help to find if GD lib is installed on your server or not. You can also consult with your hosting support.
@knight287 sorry brov…my laptop screen developed a blackspot and it has been spreading. it has been so frustrating for me for the past days now.
To check if GD is enabled you will need to access your Cpanel and go to PHP Version, the version properties will show you stuff that is enabled, you can select versions 5.4 or 5.6 to manually check what you need to be enabled.
I use buddypress plugins to optimize it.
Thanks, everyone. GD is enabled. I can upload images to profiles. At least for now. Sometimes I cannot. Not sure why.
