I am new, how can buddy press be used ?

I am new on this forum, I’m not sure to be in the right place…
I ask me some questions about buddy press: I’m working on a website on wordpress. I’m looking for a tool to share videos with different suppliers. In fact I need to send them some movies (in high quality), each supplier can access to only videos which concerned them. Do you think Buddypress can be a good tool for me? and if I can insert movies on this tool, how does it work? is there a sort of administrator who can choose how to define the parameters of access? is it possible to download videos which are posted on line or are you obliged to just seen them without any possibilities of downloading? if my suppliers can download a video, will it be quick?
