I can’t get buddypress installed with my KLEO theme

    When installing the buddypress plugin I keep getting this message:
    Downloading installation package from https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/buddypress.2.9.4.zip…

    Unpacking the package…

    Installing the plugin…

    Destination folder already exists. /home/christelijkpodium/christelijk-podium.nl/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/

    Plugin installation failed.

    Plugin not activated. A higher version of Buddypress is needed for this theme. Please update the plugin.

    When I am trying to import demo data, I am getting this message:
    There was an error in the import process. Try to do the import once again!

    Buddypress: Destination folder already exists.
    Buddypress: The plugin does not have a valid header.
    Debug Data:”Activated plugin K elements,Activated plugin Revslider,Installed plugin Buddypress,Activated plugin Buddypress,Installed page: Home Community,Imported widgets,Import Clients complete”

    Can somebody help me out here?

    What you need to do is get FTP access to your wp-content/plugins directory and manually delete the buddypress directory, for some reason the directory has not been deleted when it’s been uninstalled in the past.
