Fatal error: Cannot access empty property in /home/content/94/675587/html/rejydjkF/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-core/bp-core-template.php on line 780

Please help. I put a child theme for buddypress and I inserted the footer file and the style.css and i made changes to the footer. When going to the front page, i got the above error saying that cannot access empty property. Do i need to import all the files into the child theme folder. Please help.

Just so we can be on the same page.. are you using a child theme you created or are you using an already created one? Is it a child theme of the default theme?

Have you made sure in the style.css of the child there is the following:

    Template: bp-default

This assumes that the child is the default theme, if not that bp-default should be the name of the parent theme.
