I want to upgrade my Rc1 to 1.0

  • Hello,

I have deleted all the old files und activate the new plugin.

Everythink works but the Groups /Members pages show this error

You do not have any BuddyPress themes installed.

Please move “/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-themes/” to “/wp-content/bp-themes/” and refresh this page. You can download more themes here.

But i have created the folder with the themes.

You haven’t followed all the steps if you’re getting those errors, please re-read the upgrade instructions from RC1 and make sure you don’t miss any steps.

    I have checked many times.

Every time i get the same error.

In the header.php of your themes (home or member) do you see MEMBERS_SLUG or BP_MEMBERS_SLUG ?

    I see BP_MEMBERS_SLUG

I have make a fresh test install and it works with no problem.

But i need the data from the old website.

And i am switch back to Rc1.

    Please help me.

How can i import the old data

I am having this same problem while upgrading from beta2 to 1.0. My home theme and the default home theme work fine, but the member theme still says it is missing.

I have deleted the old directories and moved /wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-themes/ to /wp-content/bp-themes/

    so my result is mysite.com/wp-content/bp-themes/bpmember/

According to the instructions that is all that is needed. I am also seeing BP_MEMBERS_SLUG in the member theme. This one is puzzling me

I have found a fix for the problem. To fix this issue, navigate to your BuddyPress Settings page and under the option “Select theme to use for BuddyPress generated pages:” select the skelton theme and save the settings.

Now return and select the default theme and click Save Settings. It should work now.

For some reason it was not finding the theme originally but after the switch it found the theme right away.

Are ou sure you have the ame problem

Please move “/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-themes/” to “/wp-content/bp-themes/” and refresh this page. You can download more themes here.

Yeah I had the same error message until I did the steps I described above. I am assuming the fix did not work for you?

Hi Alpe, fix worked for me but all styles are gone.. any idea?

I got it, first I applied your fix, then reverted back to my original settings, now it works. This may have happened if all themes were disabled except bp-home, just guessing though, i’m not going to try to reproduce.

I had this same issue, but followed the instructions listed here, and they seemed to work.
