IE messing up

Hello, on my sample website..

a few things seam to be going wrong with internet explorer (the worst browser ever)
for example:
– The user Bar is expanding in height
– The background image is repeating instead of doing to repeat-x only
Can someone please see why this might be happening, Thank you in advance
