If disable xmlrpc, affect bp?

Looking to disable or remove, or otherwise lockdown xmlrpc – not sure if it would affect anything BP.
(maybe mobile phone / tablet uploads? or maybe only multi-site blog posts, or comments?) – or maybe it won’t affect anything at all and is safe to do?
