Images on Subsites with define( ‘BP_ENABLE_MULTIBLOG’, true );

Hi all, I have WordPress Multisite and Buddypress Multi with lots of subsites, it appears avatars people setup on the main home site/blog do not pull through when they visit subsites, I have define( ‘BP_ENABLE_MULTIBLOG’, true ); set, I *think* this is what may be causing it, can someone tell me what is ‘normal’ behavior?

This is expected behaviour when you’ve enabled that setting
