Imported user are not counted / assigned any roles

Hi!
I have imported my BuddyPress users from an old site to a new site (new server + new domain name). I have imported these users by :
1 – Exporting certain tables from my old site’s sql database.
2 – Importing them in to the new site’s database.The problem is – when I go the dashboard >> users, I see it’s not counting the users or I would better say no role is assigned to imported users.
Is this normal?
Do I have to assign the role of subscriber to these users manually? Or there is just no action required in this regard?Thank you for the help
