Including Meta Tags in Activity Posts

Every activity post in buddypress has a URL such as
~/username/activity/175/
what file in BP do I need to modify so that when that activity post is created, there is inserted into the database the meta tags needed to cause that URL to produce an embeddable card such as what happens when you post a URL in an activity post of BP from twitter for a tweet?
