BuddyPress.org

I cannot get any forms to show on BP pages. I cannot get the register page to show unless I put permalinks to default, otherwise it goes back to homepage every time. I cannot find a simple list of instructions to install BP. I am running out of ideas and patience.
Can someone please help me before I dump it and try something else.
I run headspace2, where I try to run different themes in different areas.
The website I plan eventually to run BP on is http://www.moretonbay.biz. At the moment I am testing it on my messy test site http://www.campertrailerseniors.net
