installing buddypress on Graphene theme

I have installed Buddypress 1.9.2 on wordpress 3.8.1. Problem is that when users log on to the portal, they have access to my entire website including the adin panel. I also cant get an appropriate sign up plugin. I cant access other peoples profiles when I click on their avatars.
Any suggestion will be appreciated
