Integrating log-in with Google Apps

    Hi,

I’m trying to build a company intranet and I’ve been using google apps to do most of my work for me. However their “sites” component is pretty limited and I’d much rather iframe things into a buddypress installation to create the overarching site for the intranet. The problem with this is that if a user is not logged into their apps account these iframes will not properly display.

Would it be realistic to have users simultaneously log into my buddypress by logging into their apps, or vice versa?

    Thanks for any help,

    Nick

Any luck? I’m looking for some form of SSO with Moodle,, which does support Google Apps. If you got any further with this, I’d be interested in learning more.

Using a plugin called 3rd Party Authentication, you can have you staff login with the google apps email. It auto creates a new user based on the email but it doesn’t sync any info, just makes the user name the email address. I’m investigating more now.

Anyone get anywhere with this issue? It’d really save me tonnes of trouble having a decent google apps user integration.
