Intercept the post creation

Hello,
I’m interesting to find the place where Buddypress insert a post into its DB tables. This because since i’m using qTranslate for the site i’ve noticed that the text inserted into excerpt is wrong and i need to intercept it because i want the exact text into DB table.
After inserted the correct text i need to find where te post is displayed into the user activity view.
Can anyone please help me?
