Jetpack on Buddypress issue

    Why is Jetpack visible for any user that registers for my site?

    I would like to be able to use some of the features that Jetpack offers but I do not want everyone else to have it visible in their dashboard when they register.

    Any advise or feedback is greatly appreciated!

    I am running the latest version of
    Buddypress 1.8.1,
    Wordpress 3.6 and
    Jetpack 2.4

    Jetpack->WordPress.com Stats->Configure->Put a chart showing 48 hours of views in the admin bar.

    Then go to Settings->General and see what New User Default Role is set as.
    Anyone other than subscriber will see the stats. You will have to go back and change the subscriber settings for anyone that registers.
