Just installed BuddyPress…can’t it to work. Pages are blank.

    I just installed BuddyPresss, but can’t get any of the pages to actually show. They just come up blank.

    I added one of pages BuddyPress created, “Forums” to my header. As you can see when you click on it, its blank. However, in my own admin panel on the top, I have access to all the BuddyPress pages, and can start a topic, post a comment, favorite it, etc. This appears here: http://cassmdblog.com/members/admin/activity/1

    What am I missing? Please help.

    I am using WP V 3.4, Thesis Theme 1.8. I downloaded and installed all the components to make sure BuddyPress is compatible.

    2. Not quite sure if BP works with Thesis, since I heard of some issues before…
    In any case, did you install BP Template Pack plugin and run Appearance > BP Compatibility to go through the process?

    3. What do you mean by “I downloaded and installed all the components to make sure BuddyPress is compatible”? You mean the BP Template Pack plugin or other Thesis-only plugins for BuddyPress (if any)?.

    Hi. Yes, I installed the BP Template Pack Plugin and ran it completely. Went through all the steps. Said was successfully installed, via the BP Compatibility. That is what I meant when I said I installed all the components to make sure BP was compatible.

    Just making sure what you’ve done so far.

    Did you also install Group Forums and/or Sitewide Forums via BuddyPress > Forums? If you installed both, did you make sure the slug for Group Forums is not the same slug used for Sitwide Forums?

    Hi. Thanks for the response. I checked and I have only Group Forums installed (not Sitewide Forums). Should I install both? Since I only have one installed there is no conflict with the slug used.

    I’m guessing that this is just a bug that there is no answer/fix to it yet? Or maybe its just not compatible with my Theme.

    Install only what you want/need – in this case, group forums.

    Post a throw-away username and password here so we can see what’s up with the site.
