My idea is to create a project similar to a wiki (like this one: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_Martin). Its main difference will be that a brief description will be given, and people will be able to leave their comments and feedback. Reviews from other sites can also be attached. Since wiki projects are popular, with it you can easily see the reviews of people without looking for them on numerous forums.

If that is all you need, then BuddyPress is probably overkill.
