Like or Follow "Things" – not people.

Are there any plugins for buddypress which allow my users to like “things” (which either I or users can define?).
Specifically in my case, for my site http://otakujam.com I want users to be able to like certain games, anime, and manga and have it show up somewhere in their profile that they like such and such item. Similar to player.me the new social gamer network.
