LIMIT PRIVATE MESSAGING to Paid Subscribers

Hi my fellow Buddypress users…

I Really need help on this particular feature… Private Messaging!
———not a hard core programmer here, but would love to know any ideas or previous posts regarding my concern—–

I wish to know how to have these functions:
1. Only Paid subscribers can send Private Messages to other users
2. Free users who are messaged by paid subs, will have the function to respond back.

that’s it… I am using wishlist membership plugin and the lates BP and WP…

this will really help alot of BuddyPress Users out there… and for sure this feature can become a stepping stone for dating, paid membership sites, and more….

but how can the receiver of the message be able to respond back to the sender without having to pay…. this 2nd function is still unsolved….

Hello @mvpimedia ,

I see there is a ‘Send a Reply’ box bebeath every message received and the receiver can easily type a reply here and send it. To send a reply the receiver do not need to visit ‘/messages/compose/’ which is restricted by S2member.

At my website I have successfully achieved this solution. I have kept composing messages for myself (admin) only. All my users can reply back to me and cannot message each other.

The problem that I’m facing is a little strange, the receiver does successfully reply to my message however as soon as this happens the user finds himself logged out!

Any thoughts?
