Links being displayed in profile field

    Hi, in the process of setting up our site. I added a field to the Buddypress profile successfully, but the field is displaying links within the text. I don’t understand why. Any feedback appreciated. Here is a link to a screen shot I took of the issue. http://goo.gl/fYMu5

    If possible can I know a little bit more. Such as:

    -What type of profile field have you set up?
    -Are you using the default theme?
    -What text are you adding? Are you copy and pasting or just adding in by typing?

    I think that is the default way that BP works.. (unless you have some addon).. I have found an addon called Custom Profile Filters for BuddyPress which lets you selectively create links so that you can make all fields not links except for maybe twitter usernames, or account type, etc.
