Links in the profile text areas

    Hello,

Sometimes we can see some links in the profile text areas, like the last 3 links “BuddyPress”, “jQuery”, “etc…” in my profile: http://testbp.org/members/gaetanbuddypress/profile/public.

That’s really nice to find people with same interests…etc!!

But I don’t know what to think about when people write a sentence like “This, word, is a link”, where 3 links are made in this sentence, even if it’s not really useful.

Do you think it’s a bug?

    Gaetan

Some people don’t find that feature terribly useful, yet others seem to like it but want to limit it to certain fields. It’s subjective. No it’s not a bug for bp to be linking to search that way. bp has no way of knowing what is relevent.

Search this forum again, there’s one plugin so users can define wich words to be hyperlinked. And another one where Burt suggested bp-custom hack.
