How can I have a horizontal list of member avatars that I choose go across a section of my homepage like twitter has on it’s homescreen?

I suggest you look in bp-default theme’s /members/index.php to see an example of the members loop. You can use it as a template to use elsewhere in your theme where you want to build your avatar list.

Ok I see what you mean. Is there a way I can set the loop to certain members in the query string or something?
